Plaza Pool's Splash Bus ![]() |
The Splash Bus is a summer swim lesson program that enables you to place your child/children (ages 5 and up) on the Splash Bus and send them away to the Alpena County Plaza Pool for learning and fun.
The program includes swim lessons, open swim and a snack. Lessons are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:30-1:30 followed by an open swim from 1:30-2:30. A snack and juice will be provided between lessons and open swim. You may send a snack. Microwave and refrigeration is available. Pool staff will also be on the bus to teach songs, play games, etc. Transportation: Dial-A-Ride owned and operated by Thunder Bay Transportation within Alpena County City Limits. Children will be picked up depending on route in order for timely arrival to the Pool. The Splash Bus will leave the Plaza Pool at 2:45 to return children to their pick up point.
Families outside of Alpena City Limits are welcome to participate and are required to provide transportation. SPLASH BUS PROGRAM BEGINS: June 9th, 2008 and will run for 2 weeks. Each student can continue with the program in two week increments progressing into the next level of swim lessons. See schedule for dates below.Splash Bus Schedule
